Graphic Design – New Media Art – Gdansk

The Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology, Branch in Gdansk (PJATK GDAŃSK), as a Foreign Teaching Center, was established in 2007 educating students in the field of Computer Science. Shortly thereafter, in 2010. The center was transformed into an independent Faculty of Computer Science. That same year, the Faculty of New Media Arts was established.

Subject's descriptions

The Faculty of New Media Arts is a response to the needs of a rapidly changing world. The educational profile provides our students with the opportunity to combine artistic sensibility, understanding of visual communication and the use of tools and information technology. With this approach to learning, our graduates become valuable and sought-after specialists on the job market.

We attach great importance to forms of visual communication, so students will learn in depth the secrets of the craft of painting and drawing, photography or artistic and multimedia graphics.

We strongly emphasize the use of new media and proficiency in digital tools. That's why we teach classes using digital tools and technologies, multimedia (including: computer animation) and 3D modeling.

We focus on practical exercises that hone pictorial, modeling and composition skills, using painting, drawing, graphic design, photography and computer skills.
