The first stage of study at PJATK's Faculty of Graphic Arts is the first degree (bachelor's), which takes place in two modes:
Full-time - full-time studies (Monday through Friday) lasting 6 semesters,
Part-time - part-time studies (every two weeks on weekends: Saturday and Sunday) lasting 6 semesters.
Studies at the Faculty of New Media Arts are interdisciplinary, combining general and specialized knowledge from the fields:
- Visual arts (issues of composition, painting, drawing) and
- graphics (basic issues and concepts of graphic design, contemporary design language, skills in the following areas: multimedia, web design, organization and project management).
In addition, we offer a preparatory course for GRAPHIC majors in drawing, painting and composition.
The second stage of study at the Faculty of New Media Arts, the Graphic Design major is a second degree (master's) course, which is full-time, lasting 3 semesters.
Second-cycle studies in Graphic Design combine thorough theoretical and practical knowledge of both selected areas of artistic, humanistic and technical education with the use of modern computer tools.
Studies at the Faculty of New Media Arts are all-academic, interdisciplinary, artistic studies with a strong emphasis on digital media.
Computer subjects are taught in well-equipped computer labs, and include elements of such fields as graphic design, image processing, web development and design, multimedia, animation creation, three-dimensional modeling. In the field of manual arts, students study in professional studios: drawing and painting, sculpture, photography, design and art graphics.
Graduate Profile
Second degree graduates are highly specialized in the use of digital tools and in undertaking creative activities and tasks. They are distinguished by their artistic consciousness and an attitude to search for original solutions in broadly understood design activities and professional work, also when taking a leading role in the implementation of team tasks.
Graphic Design organizes the form of the message. It is an essential part of advertising, marketing and art. Nowadays, every industry needs services in this field, so the demand for a well-trained graphic designer is high.
Studying at the Faculty of New Media Arts is an all-academic, interdisciplinary, artistic study with a strong technical emphasis. Our students receive extensive theoretical and practical knowledge in both art subjects and the use of graphic design applications (Adobe, Maya, Unity, etc.).
Computer subjects are taught in well-equipped computer labs, and include elements of such fields as graphic design, image processing, web development and design, multimedia, animation creation, three-dimensional modeling. In the field of manual arts, students study in professional studios: drawing and painting, sculpture, photography, design and art graphics.

- The university has an atmosphere of coexistence of different cultures - in addition to Japan, we boast a large group of foreign students, including those from Portugal and Ukraine. Lectures are held in Polish, but there are further training courses in Polish for foreign students.

In addition to the curriculum, PJATK Gdansk organizes workshops, trainings and additional classes that expand the knowledge of students of the Faculty of New Media Arts. Thanks to its cooperation with business, the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology is able to offer courses year after year that make the curriculum more attractive and keep students' knowledge up to date with the demands of the labor market.
