Computer Science at PJATK Gdańsk: Bachelor's Degree Program (First Cycle)

Earn your engineering degree at a university that understands the tech industry. At PJATK Gdańsk, we focus on hands-on education that will not only teach you how to code, but also how to design, implement, and maintain advanced IT systems.

Choose a study program that fits your lifestyle:

desktop

Full-time studies (Monday through Friday) lasting 7 semesters,

part-time

extramural studies (every two weeks on weekends: Saturday and Sunday) lasting 8 semesters

The program is designed to take you from the basics to a professional level. Every student has access to a personal computer workstation, and in the upper-level years, specialized research laboratories.
Key competencies you will acquire:

  • Programming: You will master object-oriented and functional programming languages (Java, Python, C++, Scala, PHP).
  • Systems: You will learn how to manage networks, databases, and operating systems.
  • Management: You will learn the principles of managing IT projects and working in a team.
  • New Technologies: You'll explore the world of AI, 3D graphics, and cybersecurity.

The program culminates in the defense of a team-based engineering project. Why a team project? Because that’s what real-world IT work looks like. Together with your group, you’ll create and document an original project that will serve as a highlight in your portfolio.

Your career options after graduation:

  • Job Market: As a computer engineer, you are ready to work at software companies and technology firms.
  • Further education: You are eligible to pursue a master’s degree (second-cycle) at PJATK in Warsaw.
