The iNGENIOUS project is a European-funded project from Horizon 2020. The project deals with innovative solutions in the supply chain. It is a project that combines many different fields and seeks to cover topics such as security in rail transportation, securing containers on ships, optimizing port traffic and port worker safety. The project is organized by the Valencia Port Foundation.

PJATK's role relates to DLT, more specifically Bitcoin, and security. Bitcoin is one of the DLT (Distibuted Ledger Technology) solutions used in the project, in addition to it we use Ethereum, IOTA, Hyperledger, Trade Lens, and Polygon. DLT is used to provide an immutable database to which proof of immutability can be written. We work directly with Telefonica which provides a TrustOS solution that allows us to combine many different DLTs to increase security and trust in the data presented by the solution.

Quarterly meetings are held to synchronize and share information in the project as a whole. Such a meeting allows all project participants to get an idea of what is happening in the project as a whole and not just in their own plot. The meeting is attended by representatives of all 21 entities from 8 countries, and progress is presented on individual, so-called "work packages," i.e. the parts of the project that together make up the whole.
