Open lectures for schools

Join us for Japan Day, where we will introduce you to the history and culture of the Land of the Cherry Blossom.
The day will be divided into two blocks. Before noon, we invite schools (and anyone else who is free at that time) to open lectures. In the afternoon, additional activities await.
After 11:00 a.m. until the evening, you will also be able to taste authentic Japanese cuisine served by Yaki Kingu in our courtyard!
All events are held in the building of the Department of Computer Science at 9/11 Wood Market.

Schedule 10:00 a.m. - 2nd floor auditorium - Shinto - the indigenous religion of Japan, where the gods are waiting for you around the corner (no seating limit, no registration required)
In between lectures, you are invited to a knowledge quiz on (pop)culture of Japan!
11:45 a.m. - second floor lecture hall - "Japanese ghosts and demons" - open lecture as part of the course History and Culture of Japan, conducted by Dr. Joanna Zakrzewska - (no seats available)
16:00-19:30 - first floor Watch an exhibition of shodo and suiboku performed by Yumiko of Yaki Kingu.
