The Gdańsk Society of Friends of the Arts (GTPS), the oldest cultural association in Gdańsk, active since 1958, invites you to an exhibitionof theater posters by Mariusz Hoffman, a renowned graphic artist and university professor.
As art critic S. Seyfried wrote: His works are characterized by ingenuity and artistic taste, as well as skillful graphic technique. The artist creatively draws on the tradition of the Polish school of poster art, while at the same time forging his own path and creating images born of the free play of imagination, emotion, and poetic associations.
The"Theater Poster" exhibition will showcase the diversity of the medium's visual language, in which synthetic form, metaphor, and symbol become autonomous means of artistic expression.
The opening will take place on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at the PUNKT Gallery of the Gdańsk Society of Friends of the Arts, located at ul. Chlebnicka 2 in Gdańsk, and the evening will be graced by poetry from the Gdańsk Poets’ Club, featuring its founder, the poet Gabriela Szubstarska.
