High School Graduation Exam Prep Course in Computer Science – Registration Now Open! October 2026

Registration has begun for a preparatory course for the advanced-level high school graduation exam in Computer Science at PJATK Gdańsk.

This course has been designed for high school seniors who want to systematically develop the knowledge and skills needed for the exam. The classes focus not only on learning about computer science topics but also on developing programming and algorithmic skills, as well as the ability to independently analyze and solve problems.

The course starts on October 22

The first class will be held on October 22, 2026. Classes will be held every Thursday at 4:30 p.m.

The course will be conducted ina hybrid format. Classes will be held in person at the PJATK Gdańsk Faculty of Computer Science building, with the option to participate online as well. This ensures that participants do not have to miss classes in the event of, for example, illness or any other situation that prevents them from coming to campus.

What will we focus on during the course?

The goal of this course is to provide comprehensive preparation for the advanced-level high school graduation exam in computer science. During the course, participants will work on:

• organizing IT knowledge,
• developing programming skills,
• developing algorithmic thinking,
• analyzing problems and selecting appropriate solutions,
• solving problems independently,
• preparation for working under exam conditions.

The combination of IT knowledge, a practical approach, and the instructor’s experience working with students is intended to help participants prepare for the exam in an informed manner.

22 sessions and 66 instructional hours

The entire course consists of 22 sessions, each lasting 3 instructional hours. This format allows for a thorough discussion of individual topics, work on assignments, and the development of the skills needed to solve problems independently.

Classes are held insmall groups, allowing participants to receive individual support from the instructor and to consult with them on more challenging topics as they arise.

The course is held in the state-of-the-art computer labs at PJATK Gdańsk, located right in the heart of the city.

Who will teach the course?

The classes are taught by Kamil Klemiato, a computer science student at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology who specializes in the Internet of Things (IoT) and is a graduate of a technical high school specializing in computer science.

Kamil has practical knowledge of programming languages, including Python, Java, SQL, and Assembly. He gained his experience in computer science both through his education and his academic work.

Since 2020, he has also been providing one-on-one math tutoring to elementary and high school students, at both the basic and advanced levels. His experience working with students has allowed him to develop the ability to tailor his teaching methods to the level and needs of each individual.

When working with students, she places particular emphasis on understanding the problem and developing the right approach to solving it, rather than on learning based solely on memorization.

As a student representative in the TechForge research club at PJATK, he is also involved in academic activities and teamwork.
