Today, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Department of Computer Science at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Computer Technology in Gdańsk, represented by Dean Dr. Radosław Stojek, and the Zbigniew Herbert High School No. 20 with Bilingual Classes Zbigniew Herbert High School No. 20 in Gdańsk, represented by Kamil Żmudziński
As part of this partnership, students at High School No. 20 will have the opportunity to participate in special meetings and events at the university. This will allow them to consciously plan their educational path at this stage of their education, with the goal of entering the IT industry in the future.
The events at PJATK are not only an opportunity to learn about the latest technologies and meet the faculty. They also raise young people’s awareness of how today’s world of new technologies is evolving. They also highlight the skills that need to be developed to prepare not only for existing professions but also for those that are yet to enter the job market.
This reflects the practical approach that PJATK takes to educating its students. The curriculum of the PJATK School of Computer Science is designed to develop both technical competencies and skills that remain relevant regardless of technological changes—critical thinking, problem analysis, accountability for designed solutions, collaboration, and the ability to engage in lifelong learning.
