Film production is a complex process in which the filmmakers’ creative vision must be translated into measurable operational goals. Effective project execution requires not only an understanding of the language of film, but above all, proficiency in planning, logistics, and resource management. 

The FILM LAB postgraduate program —film production —offered in Gdańsk, in the heart of the Tri-City film scene, was created with the aim of professionalizing the filmmaking process and training specialists capable of effectively collaborating on audiovisual projects at every stage.

The program combines theoretical knowledge with intensive hands-on workshops. FILM LAB participants gain comprehensive skills in script analysis, budgeting, scheduling, and the operations of production departments. Throughout the program, we emphasize modern work organization—from the project development stage, through the shooting period, all the way to final post-production and the creation of the master copy.

The goal of the program is to prepare knowledgeable production specialists who can balance artistic requirements with economic and legal constraints. Through the analysis of real-world projects and work with specialized tools, students acquire the skills to anticipate risks, solve operational problems, and efficiently support production in rapidly changing organizational and market conditions.
