Dr. Radosław Stojek, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science in Gdańsk, signed a letter of intent with GS Animation (Smacznego Group), represented by the company’s president and the studio’s co-founder, Łukasz Kacprowicz.

GS Animation is an animation studio founded in 2004 and based in Gdańsk. It specializes in the production of animated films and series, which have received numerous awards from audiences and the international animation community. Among other accolades, it was nominated for the prestigious European Producer of the Year award by Cartoon Forum, a European network of 900 animation producers from 30 countries.

PJATK Gdańsk and the Creative Sector

The signing of the letter of intent marks a new chapter in our university’s collaboration with the creative industry. Today, animation programs serve as a hub where various branches of the industry converge—from creating an artistic vision to implementing and developing modern technologies. The result is a product that not only generates profit for its creators but also finds a place in the collective imagination of an entire generation.

For years, the Polish-Japanese Academy of Computer Science has placed great emphasis on such aspects of education as fostering creativity, striving to find new solutions, and the ability to work in teams—often interdisciplinary ones.

It teaches students both to understand how new technologies work and to make practical use of modern tools.

Through these partnerships, we help our students on their way to their dream careers, while also contributing to the development of the sector in question.
