Last week, we hosted a meeting as part of the Wentyl_EDU series organized by Invest in Pomerania.

Wentyl_EDU is an educational and networking event that brings together various communities 🎓academic, 💼business and 🏢local government. Its main goal is to create a space for collaboration, the exchange of experiences, and the presentation of initiatives carried out by students and business partners.

We started by visiting the “Attention: Chaos” exhibition 🖼️ featuring works by faculty members of the Faculty of New Media Arts in Gdańsk. The curator, Dr. Antonia Buszewicz-Hryniewicz, gave a guided tour of the exhibition. The guests were welcomed by the associate dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, Adam Urbanowicz, M.Sc. (Eng.).

Event participants had the opportunity to learn about the connection between our university and the business community. We discussed joint initiatives, hackathons, study visits, and other forms of collaboration.

Our research clubs at the Faculty of Computer Science also presented their work at the event: ⚙️The Code and Scrap Association and 👾Game Dev Club. The students had the opportunity to present the projects they are working on to a wider audience.

These weren’t the only student presentations, as we also hosted the HMI Research Club from the Gdynia Maritime University⚓, which prepared a presentation about its activities. This gave our students a wonderful opportunity to exchange experiences.

Kamil Pakur of Kainos Polska presented a number of interesting projects carried out in partnership with universities in the Tri-City area, including the Gdańsk branch of PJATK 💚

Aleksandra Abakanowicz outlined a number of initiatives undertaken by the Gdańsk-based STARTER Entrepreneurship Foundation to support the development of business skills among young people. Our students also benefit from these initiatives. This is evidenced, for example, by the success of Łukasz Święcicki, a computer science student, who, together with his team, won first place 🏆 at the Innovation Business event recently organized by STARTER.

Wentyl_EDU also hosted a contest—a quiz testing participants’ knowledge of the Tri-City’s business and academic community. The competition was quite fierce, as all participants were very knowledgeable on the subject. The top performers received gift sets 🎁

Networking was the perfect way to wrap up the event 🤝, during which we shared our experiences and ideas for joint initiatives.

We would like to thank both the organizers and all the participants of Wentyl_EDU for a day full of inspiration!
