In the age of computers, digital graphics software, and AI generators, analog collage workshops are a fantastic opportunity to explore hands-on techniques!
We will be working with photographic materials as well as colored, patterned, and textured papers. Scissors and glue will be our main tools. We will be upcycling printed flyers and posters. The theme of our projects will be the city.
It will be up to the workshop participants to decide what kind of city they create. Colorful? Full of trees and flowers? With elaborate architecture? Floating in the clouds or sailing on the sea? Whatever their imagination suggests!
We invite architects of all ages—from teenagers to adults—to join our workshop.
The workshop will be led by Marta Marszałek, a lecturer at the SNM in Gdańsk and a graduate of the Department of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. She received her diploma with honors in 2012. At PJATK, she has been teaching Narrative Graphics since 2013 and Narration Through Images since 2019. She is passionate about illustration, its history, and its creators. She collects illustrated books and albums. She creates and exhibits painterly illustrations. She received the Andrzej Tomiałojć Award in the Satyrykon 2012 competition.
