It was an extremely inspiring meeting, which showed how modern digital technologies support every area of the economy and enable cities to develop. 🏙️

The BIM Association / Łączymy Biznes(y) (We Connect Businesses) gave a lecture entitled "Digital information management in BIM methodology – experiences from projects in the Tri-City and the idea of Digital Twin."

Digital Twin – a digital twin of a building is an extension of BIM that allows for:

🏗️creating dynamic, virtual models that reflect the actual condition of a building or infrastructure,

🏢monitoring, infrastructure operation,

🔧predicting failures and optimizing maintenance costs.

The event was opened by Dr. Radosław Stojek, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science in Gdańsk, and the main part was led by Aleksander Szerner and Marcin Kaźmierski, who showed how data is changing the entire investment process. Sylwia Artichowicz and Anna Kluczek-Kollár also participated in the meeting.

Magdalena Cieślik, Vice President of the City, was a special guest. Sopot. She presented the Digital Twin project for the pier and marina – one of the most interesting urban examples of the use of Digital Twin. 🛥️
