"Package the museum" competition for PJATK students

The Museum of the City of Gdynia has announced a unique competition aimed at students of the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology. As part of the cooperation between our Department and MMG, participants will have the opportunity to create projects that can realistically be put to use by cultural institutions in Pomerania.

What is the competition all about?

The students' task is to prepare two wrapping paper designs:

• Basic design - a design that corresponds to the visual identity of the Gdynia City Museum.
• Commemorative design - work inspired by the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Gdynia, which falls in 2026.

Both designs should combine aesthetics, functionality and a unique character that can be used in the museum's operations, including its store.

Rules of participation

The competition is open to PJATK students who will send applications in accordance with the template of the Application Form.
The submitted works will be judged by a five-member commission, consisting of representatives of MMG and PJATK (3 people from the Museum of the City of Gdynia and 2 people from our university).

Awards

Each category will be awarded:

• PLN 1000 - grand prize
• PLN 500 - honorable mention
• Material prizes in the form of MMG publications

Importantly, the winning works will be printed and used in the activities of the Museum of the City of Gdynia, which is a unique opportunity for a real presence of the student project in the public space.
