Students at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology in Gdansk have prepared a unique exhibition dedicated to Día de Muertos - the Mexican Day of the Dead. This is one of Mexico's most recognizable and symbolic holidays, combining joy, reflection and artistic expression of remembrance of loved ones.

The centerpiece was an altar (ofrenda) - a traditional installation on which were placed photos, candles, flowers, paper ornaments and objects symbolizing the bond between the world of the living and the spirits of the dead. The altar was designed and made by students with the help of a didactician.

This wby was not only an artistic endeavor, but also a form of cross-cultural encounter - an opportunity to learn more about the symbolism and meaning of the holiday, in which remembering the dead becomes a celebration of life.

We would like to thank all the students and presenters for their commitment, creativity and sensitivity, thanks to which Gdansk PJATK was filled with the colors and light of Mexican tradition for a few days. 🌼💀🕯️
