Ink painting workshop with Sensei Ryuka Matsumura at PJATK Gdańsk

Yesterday, students of the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology in Gdansk had the unique opportunity to participate in a sumi-e ink painting workshop led by Sensei Ryuka Matsumura. The meeting was not only a lesson in artistic craftsmanship, but also a profound cultural experience to understand the philosophy behind the Japanese art of ink painting.

During the class, participants learned the basic techniques of working with brush, ink and water, as well as the importance of concentration and rhythm in the creative process. Step by step, Sensei Matsumura introduced students to the world of attentiveness, simplicity and expression, which are the essence of sumi-e painting.

The event was organized as part of the didactic activities of PJATK Gdansk with the help of Dr. Joanna Zakrzewska, supporting the artistic development of students and the exchange of cross-cultural experiences.
