The new academic year at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology in Gdansk began with an exceptionally elegant event. The inauguration of the year 2025/2026 emphasized what is most important for the university - harmony between technology, art and culture.

The ceremony, prepared with great attention to detail, brought participants into an atmosphere of calm and precision, so characteristic of Japanese aesthetics.

During the Inauguration, the academic community paid due respect to the commitment of PJATK's Dr. Prof. Mark Bednarczyk, who served as Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science from the day PJATK's Gdansk branch was founded in 2007 until last academic year.

The inaugural lecture by Professor Slawomir Witkowski entitled "Chaos, it's good that you are" was an inspiring reflection on the role of order and structure in design. The professor touched on the subject of visual order in a world overloaded with information, where everyday communication can be as dynamic as it is disorderly.

After the official part, participants had the opportunity to talk over refreshments inspired by Japanese cuisine. Delicate flavors, colorful sushi and an elegant setting created a unique atmosphere for the meeting. Male and female students dressed in traditional kimonos added a unique touch to the event, combining tradition with modernity - exactly as PJATK itself does.
