Ms. Nadia Zaranska, a student at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology (PJATK) in Gdansk, has been participating in an extraordinary educational and cultural adventure for several months. Together with three students from PJATK in Warsaw, she has set off for Japan in April 2025 to represent Poland at one of the most important international events - EXPO Osaka 2025.

Polish culture on the world stage

In September, Nadia became involved in the organization of special events held at the Polish Pavilion. Her tasks included supporting the handling and coordination of such initiatives as:

  • Natalia Kukulska and the National Philharmonic Orchestra's "Tender Strings" concert,
  • "Peasants, dance " - a spectacular performance by the Rebel Babel Ensemble, the National Philharmonic Orchestra and the Song and Dance Ensemble "Silesia."
  • As well as events within the framework of Tourism and Sports Week.

The attention of visitors to the Polish Pavilion was also attracted by an unusual attraction - a sculpture of Yennefer from The Witcher, which turned out to be one of the most photographed exhibits of the exhibition.

Meeting with the culture of China

However, her stay in Asia was not just about work and organizational experience. Nadia also used her time to travel and explore the cultural richness of the region. During the trip, she visited Beijing, where she saw with her own eyes the monumental Tian'anmen Square, the historic Forbidden City and the Confucius Temple, full of symbolism. There was also a trip to one of the world's greatest wonders - the Great Wall of China.

Personal experience of local traditions was also an important part of this adventure. Nadia had the opportunity to wear a traditional Chinese hanfu outfit, which allowed her to feel even more deeply the atmosphere of the places she visited and better understand their cultural significance.

Education, culture and inspiration

Participation in EXPO Osaka is not only an opportunity for our students to gain work experience, but also an opportunity for personal growth and encountering a diversity of cultures. It is an example of how studying at PJATK can open doors to the world and inspire you to take on more challenges.
