Japanese Festival at PJATK Gdańsk is back!


This is the largest free event in the Tri-City focused on Japanese culture. Visitors will be treated to lectures, demonstrations, workshops, games and exhibitors' booths.
In this year's edition we will discover different facets of Japanese culture. We will follow the paths of cats, enter the world of ghosts, learn about the role of women, let ourselves be enchanted by Japanese legends and more!
In the exhibitors' zone you will be able to buy books and gadgets related to Japan, as well as taste flavors straight from the land of the blooming cherry.

The program includes:
- Ikebana - a demonstration of the art of flower arranging combined with a lecture on the Sogetsu school, history, philosophy and practice of ZEN - Anka Floral
- "Japan's most famous spirits" - Anna Juozulinas
- The phenomenon of Japanese vinyl records - Origami Disc
- Demonstration Japanese lesson - Seweryn Sensei
- The place of women in Japanese culture - Dr. Joanna Zakrzewska, PJATK
- Fashion from Harajuku - between fairy tale and rebellion - Alicja Baczewska
- Spirituality in Japan through the lens - between everyday life and contemplation. Meeting with Agnieszka Kmieciak and Jacek M. Kozlowski (Heiwa Foundation)
- More cats! Literature will endure, or cats in Japanese culture and literature - Kirin Publishers
- Japanese tales and legends - Word Hunters
