PJATK Gdańsk in Osaka!

Thank you to everyone who was with us on this special night!
Museum Night 2025 at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology in Gdansk was exceptional. Visitors were able to immerse themselves in Japanese culture, cutting-edge technologies and the work of students.
🎎 Japan Zone - Japanese atmosphere attracted crowds! Those willing had the opportunity to try on traditional Japanese costumes, take part in a knowledge quiz about Japan or compose their own haiku.
🕶️ VR Zone - participants of the Museums' Night had the opportunity to try their hand at virtual games using Virtual Reality goggles.
🧠 Lecture on AI in Photography - the lecture hall was filled with listeners interested in the role of AI in art. Dr. Leszek Zurek in his lecture "Artificial Intelligence in Photography" invited the participants to critically reflect on what an image is in the age of digital manipulation.
🎮 GameDev projects - the games created by our students were impressive! From simple prototypes to more advanced mechanics, participants were able to play and learn what the process of creating a computer game looks like from behind the scenes.
🎥 Video-Mapping - a wonderful spectacle was the video-mapping show from Garncarska Street, which started at 9:30 p.m. Animations of Japanese kanji characters, prepared by Dr. Joanna Zakrzewska and M.Sc. Jakub Wilczynski, were projected on the facade of the PJATK Gdańsk building to the rhythm of a traditional Japanese song performed by Naomi Utamakura.
✒️Warsztaty calligraphy - enthusiasts of the aesthetic art of writing had the opportunity to practice their skills and learn new techniques at a calligraphy workshop organized by female graphic design students.
💻Game development workshop - participants learned the ins and outs of Visual Novel game programming and wrote code for a prototype game in this category.
