The 5th edition of the Pomeranian Hackathon for High School Students "Young Smart" was held on April 11-12, 2025. Teams from 8 schools from the Pomeranian Voivodeship took part in the competition. 

The "Young Smart" Hackathon organized by the 17th High School in Gdynia and PJATK Gdansk is a unique event, during which students work for 24 hours on: mobile applications, websites, computer and mobile games. Ultimately, they present their projects in front of an audience and jury. They are judged on criteria such as innovation, social potential, design, usability of the project and feasibility.

In this edition, the jury included experts from: PJATK Gdansk, Microsoft, Intel, University of Gdansk, Gdynia Teacher Training Center and the Department of Education in Gdynia.

The winners of the 5th edition were:

First place - Telegraphers

Zespół Szkół Łączności im. Obrońców Poczty Polskiej w Gdańsku, Nikodem Młyński, Jakub Mazurkiewicz, Adrian Markowski, Gabriel Lisiecki. Supervisor: Jakub Geleta.

Second place - Codehouse

Zespół Szkół Chłodniczych i Elektronicznych in Gdynia, Mateusz Baranowski, Kacper Sowinski, Kamil Niewiadomski, Alan Klas. Supervisor: Wioleta Budny.

Third place - Blenski's Band

Non-public Dr. Wanda Blenski High School in Kowale, Jan Kadzinski, Lena Firak, Marcel Kowalow, Mikolaj Palubicki, Pawel Rzodkiewicz. Supervisor: Marek Kaniewski.

As a reward, the winners will receive study visits combined with workshops at the headquarters: Microsoft, Intel and the Polish-Japanese Academy of Computer Technology branch in Gdansk.

In total, the Hackathon was attended by students from: III High School with Bilingual Branches in Gdynia, Dr. Wanda Blenska's Non-Public High School in Kowale, XVII High School in Gdynia, III High School with Bilingual Branches in Gdansk, Bohaterów Westerplatte High School in Gdansk, and the Social High School of Communications in Gdansk. Bohaterów Westerplatte in Gdansk, the Obrońców Poczty Polskiej Communications School Complex in Gdansk, the Społeczne Liceum Ogólnokształcące in Lębork, the Refrigeration and Electronic School Complex in Gdynia,

I Stefan Żeromski High School in Lębork.
