May academic meetings as part of the "Talented in Pomerania" Project
On November 4 at 17:00, the opening of Dr. Joanna Zakrzewska's exhibition "Illustrations and... TINY THINGS" will take place at the ZPAP House of Letters Gallery (67/68 Piwna St.).
Dr. Joanna Zakrzewska - Associate Dean for Student Affairs at the Faculty of New Media Art in Gdansk, a Japanese artist, calligrapher and illuminator, lectures at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology in Gdansk. Academically, she is interested in the aesthetics of Japanese art, especially calligraphy and ink painting. She holds VIII dan of calligraphy from the Japanese Seifū School. She is also a graduate of the Cracow School of Calligraphy, Illumination and Related Fields. She conducts workshops and demonstrations of Latin and Japanese calligraphy and illumination. She is active in the academic field (monograph "Sakuteiki - Notes on the Establishment of Gardens", "Over-thinking Beauty. Aesthetics of Japanese calligraphy", numerous scientific publications, lectures conferences) as well as artistic (individual and collective exhibitions and workshops).
The exhibition is open until November 24, 2024.
