May academic meetings as part of the "Talented in Pomerania" Project
SWPS University, the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology, the University of Silesia and the University of Warmia and Mazury invite you to participate in the "Poster Fighters" contest, which aims to draw attention to current social problems, the rights of the excluded, care for the environment and social justice.
About the competition
The Competition work is to prepare a visual commentary of the slogan: "Cancel culture" - addressing the issue of socio-cultural exclusion. Where does the phenomenon of cancellation come from, when does it occur and how does it work? Is it possible to erase someone from social consciousness overnight? Following Brian Reed's idea that everything is designed, including Cancel Culture - are we able to change it? Are designers willing and able to de-design canseling? How to show canseling without canseling? Can you, or should you?
The competition is aimed at male and female students of first-cycle, second-cycle or unified master's studies at the following universities: SWPS University, Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology, University of Silesia, University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn.
Why take part?
There is a unique prize for the winners and runners-up of the contest - the chance to participate in the exhibition summarizing the "Poster fighters" contest, which will be held on March 4, 2024 at the Gallery of Graphics of the SWPS University in Wroclaw, along with the payment of printing costs by the organizer.
