TOMASZ BOGUSLAWSKI

  • Academic degrees: full prof. dr. hab.
  • Functions held in the departmental structures: Lecturer, Member of the Faculty Council
  • Bio: Born in 1958 in Gdansk, Poland. Studied in 1977-82 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk.
    Since 1983, a research and didactic employee of this University, currently a professor at the Department of Graphic Arts. Since 2018, professor at the Faculty of New Media Art of PJATK in the Gdansk branch of this University.
    Creates various forms of graphic design: poster, visual communication, editorial graphics, philatelic editions and small graphic forms.
    Winner of the Polish Poster Biennale in Katowice several times (1983, 2009 - Gold Medal, 1985, 2011 - Silver Medal, 1995, 2005 - Honorable Mention and Funded Prize, 2015 - Honorable Mention) and twice Grand Prix (2003, 2007).
    International awards: 10th International Biennial of Theater Poster, Rzeszow 2005 - 3rd prize, Taiwan International Poster Design Award 2007 - final selection, XII International Biennial of Theater Poster, Rzeszow 2009 - 1st prize, 3th International Biennial of Poster, Bolivia BICeBe 2009 - 1st prize in cultural poster category, 6th International Triennial of Stage Poster, Sofia 2010 - Grand Prix, The 5th China International Poster Biennial, Hangzhou 2011 - Special Jury Award, 6. International Biennial of Socio-Political Poster, Oswiecim 2016 - 1st prize. The 3rd International Poster Biennial Lublin 2017 - Gold Medal 15 BICM - 15th Biennial Internacional del Cartel en Mexico 2018 - 3rd Prize and Bronze Medal in the cultural poster category.
    International jury member of the 21st International Poster Biennial Warsaw (2008), 7th International Stage Poster Triennial Sofia (2013) and 20th International Poster Triennial Lahti (2017).
