Preparatory courses

Candidates for studies at the Faculty of New Media Art in Gdansk are invited to participate in a course to prepare for the Graphic Design major. The course program is oriented towards refining one's technique, learning about graphic design tools and digital painting on a tablet, and creating works for a portfolio, which candidates present during an interview.

Baccalaureate courses in mathematics and computer science

Courses are conducted in intimate groups (maximum 15 people). Classes are held at the headquarters of PJATK Gdansk (Faculty of Informatics, 9/11 Drzewny St.) located in the middle of the historic center of Gdansk.

During the course, those taking part have the opportunity to test the knowledge they have acquired by approaching trial exams at the appropriate level.

The sample baccalaureate exams, as well as the tasks processed during the course, are consulted with the CKE examiner so that they are in line with the requirements for the matriculation exam.

Confirmation of learning outcomes

Confirmation of learning outcomes is a process that allows individual subjects in a program of study to be credited on the basis of experience and knowledge gained outside the traditional academic education system, such as through certified courses, training, and work experience.

A person admitted to a degree program will have the opportunity to shorten the time of study by passing some subjects as a result of confirmation of learning outcomes. The procedure for confirmation of learning outcomes allows candidates with the appropriate qualifications and certificate to be recruited.

Regulations for the confirmation of learning outcomes can be found under the tab Public Information Bulletin - Important Documents of PJAIT.

  • A high school diploma and at least 5 years of work experience - for first-degree studies;
  • a full qualification at level 5 of the PRK or a qualification awarded by a foreign higher education system corresponding to level 5 of the European Qualifications Framework - for first-degree studies;
  • A full qualification at PRK level 6 and at least 3 years of work experience after completing a first degree - for a second degree;
  • A full qualification at PRK level 7 and at least 2 years of post-secondary work experience or a unified master's degree - for second-degree studies.
