Graphic Design at PJATK Gdańsk: Where Tradition Meets Technology

Studying at the Faculty of New Media Arts is a place where traditional artistic techniques meet cutting-edge technology. You don’t have to choose between an easel and a computer—here, you’ll learn how to combine both worlds in modern design and animation.
How will you learn?
Your journey with us is an evolution: from exploring art history and the basics of typography, through photography and illustration, to advanced digital tools. You’ll spend most of your time in studios and workshops, honing your skills under the guidance of professionals.

You choose your own specialization track
Starting in the fourth semester, you decide what you want to specialize in. In the on-campus program, you can choose from three specialization tracks:

  • Graphic Design: Create eye-catching visual identities and publications.
  • 2D Animation: Bring your drawings to life and create captivating film stories.
  • 3D Animation: Step into the world of 3D—from character modeling to working with game engines.

For part-time studies, the specialization track for you is:

  • Graphic Design:Create eye-catching visual identities and publications.

As our graduate, you’ll complete your studies with a bachelor’s degree and a head full of ideas. The world of visual communication, graphic design, and animation will hold no secrets for you. You’ll be ready to enter the job market right away—whether you dream of running your own studio or working on a team on large multimedia projects. And if you want to aim even higher, the path to a master’s degree is wide open.

Are you planning to study graphic design? We’ll help you put together your portfolio and improve your skills in drawing, painting, and composition. We’ll walk you through the entire process so you’ll feel confident during your exams!

In addition, we offer a preparatory course for GRAPHIC majors in drawing, painting and composition.
